The CV DMP is a Java software application that provides an easy-to-use interface for converting packet capture (PCAP) formatted CV data into easier to work with comma separated value (CSV) files (note: PCAP consists of an application programming interface(API) for capturing network traffic such as that generated in the CV operating environment). The  CV DMP enables users to utilize the data stored in CV messages such as the basic safety message (BSM), signal phase and timing (SPaT), and geometric intersection design (GID, aka Map) messages recorded in those PCAP files without having to manually process that data.

The CV DMP processor requires Java 8 Runtime Environment (JRE). Once installed, users download the compiled .jar file that is included in the download package and double click. To use the software, select an input destination for your PCAP files and output destination for the processed CSV files. Within the application, click “Start Processing” and the CV DMP will run in the background and notify the user when processing is complete.
