All - UDOT hopes to roll out version 4.0.1 sometime in March. We plan on making the following changes: 1) Purdue Phase Termination - unknown termination. 2) Purdue Split Failure - chart by approach & chart for permissive phase. 3) Yellow & Red Actuation - chart for permissive phase. 4) Turning movement Count - adding a data table. 5) Adding a read-only configuration table that all users can access without a password. 6) Standardize all chart headers on all graphs. 7) Preemption metric - redo the details chart. 8) Approach volume chart - remove unconfigured approaches and to allow it to be enabled with turning movement count stopbar data (if available). 9) Add detector type to configuration so it displays on the chart (i.e. inductive loops, radar, video, magnetometers..). 10) Purdue Coordination Diagram - fixing dot size so it includes lines. 11) Security: adding user/roles tables and option to delete a user. 12) FAQ's - create an editor.

Thanks,

Mark,

We're working on getting it uploaded to this website. We turned in our request 6 days ago to OSADP. It's packaged and ready to go. I will reach out to OSADP and see if they can speed it up. You definitely will want 4.0.1. The developers have spent quite a bit of time adding some cool improvements but also fixing lots and lots of bugs.

The "Installation Manual" has been updated as well, but may not be yet availalbe on OSADP (it will soon). However, its also available on the UDOT ATSPM website under "LINKS" ( udottraffic.utah.gov/atspm ).

Hello,
I wanted to share some experiences from doing the upgrade from 4.0 to 4.0.1 a couple of times. It went more smoothly the second time, so I wanted to share with the community.

The first step I suggest is make a copy of the existing site. (eg Right-click and send to compressed folder worked). Even if you didn't customize anything except the config files, its good to have a backup you can reference.
Ok for the actual upgrade:
The first time we followed the upgrade instruction we copied contents from .\ATSPM-v401.zip\ATSPM-v401\Version4.0.1\ATSPM Executables into our sites folder. This overwrote everything including .config files so then nothing works. Instead, what I recommend is to copy the contents of the folder except your .config files. Additionally, I chose to not copy over AddData.js and Maps.js files from the Scripts folder. (The Maps.js has our API key and custom maps settings. Otherwise your map centers on Utah again.) So in summary, copy the contents of the \Version4.0.1\ATSPM Executables\ATSPMWebpage to your Webpage folder but exclue .config and .js files you've customized. And maybe exclude Views/Shared/_Layout.cshtml if you customized the logo. If you forget to exclude something and overwrite it, just use the backup you made in the first step to restore it.

Repeat the same process of copying contents (less the .config files) for MOWcfServices, FTP, Decoders, AddDataScript, Watchdog, etc...

Word of warning, if you only update the Website, the rest of your utilities will no longer work since the first time you view the website the database schema will get updated. The other utilities (FTP, Decoders, WCFServices, Watchdog, AddDataScript) will all have an error about the database schema being out of date. So if you upgrade the Website you need to update all the other parts too (They all use the MOE.Common). I didn't realize that the first time, but it makes sense it retrospect. Hope this saves you some time upgrading. It was a quick and smooth process the second time around!
